The Gateway to Yosemite Valley - Foggy Twilight just seconds before Sunrise - Yosemite National Park, CA
There are times in you life when you are at the right place at the right time. I have had a love for Twilight photography
since my Trip to Alaska last year. Where ever I travel I always have to squeeze in a twilight shoot. There is no more
magical light to view things than Twilight.
It had rained hard all night, the alarm went off at 4:00am. We drove to our favorite spot to view El Capitan. When we
pulled up, I saw this unbelievable Purple glow on everything in the fog. I frantically hurried to get my camera's set up in
the middle of the Merced. I knew that this would not last for long.
This Photograph was taken just seconds before sunrise in the heavy Fog. The rain and fog broke for a few minutes, just
in time. EL Capitan is seen here to the left. Bridelveil Falls and the three brothers is to the right. In the foreground is
the Merced River that flows thru the Yosemite Valley. I was fascinated by the little green tufts of grass that were
growing all along the river.
This is my Favorite, Personal Fog shot of all time. Tomorrow is a Fog shot commemorating Veterans Day and My Favorite
Fog shot of all time.
