Face of El Capitan in the Moonlight
I had the opportunity to go to Yosemite National Park in the Fall of 2006 with My Mom,
an award winning Photographer. We
both have a fascination with Moonlight Photography
and were eager to test our meddle in this amazing place.
I had originally planned this shot from the Tunnel view overlook on the west end of the
valley. I had set up for the shot and
a baby Cougar came towards us from the Rock out
cropping, meowing loudly. Wishing to avoid a face to face with Momma
Cougar.
We packed up immediately and headed to the Valley Floor below El Capitan. Our Favorite
Spot in the Whole Park.
This Photo was taken at 11:47 PM in Full Moonlight. This Photo is a time Lapse shot
of 872 seconds. This shoot was my
first ever attempting such long exposures.
